The subtle delight of pain

There was a study the other day about chronic pain. The conclusion was that it has to be treated in many ways at the same time. The only problem is that it isn’t. It’s not treated at all. Which is why a lot of Swedes get paid for staying at home, doing nothing. Okay, it’s better than staying at home with no money at all, but only marginally. There is a treatment for chronic pain, but nobody gets it. Why? Who the fuck knows. The FK, insurance thingy, got a lot of dough to pay for rehabilitation. But they do not. Why?

At the same time a lot of people get a pension, a pension that you cannot live on. But you have too. In stead of getting people back to work, they pay people not to work. Is that a good idea? I d not think so. Of course there are people who have so much pain that they can’t work at all. Fine. But what about all the others? Why is it so hard to get rehabilitation? And if you’re lucky enough to get it, why does it have to take a year, at the very least. to get it.

At the same time authorities are putting the blame on the people that have the chronic pain. Like they want to have it. Like it’s so much fun not being able to sit down for more than ten minutes. Not being able to stand for ten minutes. Not being able to walk even. Not being able to do almost anything that doesn’t cause pain. That’s your fault, the authorities say.

Fuck you! I say.

First, I apologize for my english, I haven’t used it for writing in a long time.
I really enjoyed your blog. You were able to have both international and natinal politics put side by side in a very effective way. I particualrly liked ‘Send the Marines’. I don’t know if you enjoy cinema, but Notre Musiq (Our Music – literal translation, don’t how it was translated) is movie you might enjoy.
